What is Jabs Signature Employer Networking Night?

Jabs Networking Night is a high‑impact, low‑pressure evening where more than 35 employers from across all business disciplines come to Jabs Hall to meet with business students.

Held in connection with the Montana State University Career Fair, this event gives you extra time and space to:

Explore internships and full‑time roles across finance, accounting, management, marketing, entrepreneurship, and related areas
Talk directly with recruiters, hiring managers, and Jabs alumni
Practice real‑world networking in a supportive environment

This isn’t a formal career fair. It’s a conversational networking night designed to help you make stronger connections during Career Fair week.

Who should attend?

This event is a great fit if you are:

Looking for internships in business fields
Still finalizing your post‑grad plan
A business minor or student from another college who wants to explore business‑related roles
Anyone who wants to meet employers in an informal setting during Career Fair week

You do not need to have everything figured out—or have a perfect resume—to attend.

How to prepare (3 simple steps)

You don’t have to over‑prepare—but a little intention goes a long way.

Review the employer list

Pick 3–5 employers you’re especially curious about. Click through to their websites and ask yourself:

What do they do?
Where are they located?
What kinds of roles do they offer for students or new grads?

Draft a short intro

Write a simple 2–3 sentence introduction you can reuse:

“Hi, I’m [Name]. I’m a [year] in [major/minor] at Jabs. Right now I’m involved in [job, club, or project], and I’m curious about opportunities in [area of interest—finance, marketing, management, accounting, etc.].”

You don’t need a script—just a starting point so the first sentence isn’t the hardest part.

Bring 2–3 real questions

Great questions make great conversations. For example:

“What does a successful intern or new hire look like at your organization?”
“If I’m a [major], what are some good entry points into your company?”
“What advice would you give a student who wants to stand out when applying to your company?”
