Migration Schedule
We have migrated all D2L Brightspace academic courses from Summer 2022 through Fall 2024 to Canvas. You can expect your Spring 2025 courses soon.
Review Your Migrated Courses: Summer 2022 - Spring 2025
Courses from Summer 2022 through Fall 2024 have been migrated to Canvas, and Spring 2025 courses are currently being finalized. D2L Brightspace is no longer accessible, so all course content moving forward will be available only in Canvas. If you have any questions or notice anything unexpected in your courses, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help.
Build Your Course From Scratch
Now that MSU has officially migrated to Canvas and Brightspace is no longer accessible, self-migration of course content is no longer an option. Instead, we encourage you to build your course from scratch using our comprehensive tutorial.
Consider this option if:
- Your courses contain intricate or complex content
- You are developing new courses for the 2025–26 academic year and beyond
- You want to redesign your course with new features and best practices
Brightspace D2L Access Has Ended
Access to D2L Brightspace has ended. You can no longer:
- Download student data from D2L Brightspace
- Request Canvas migrations for the following course types:
- Academic courses prior to Summer 2022
- Practice and master courses
- Non-credit courses
