The Montana Caregiver Respite Food Box Program

The Montana Caregiver Respite Food Box Program is a compassionate initiative designed
to nourish both body and spirit. Created to support unpaid family caregivers across
Montana—particularly those in rural and tribal communities—the program delivers thoughtfully
curated boxes of healthy, shelf-stable food directly to caregivers’ doors. These boxes
not only help ease the burden of meal planning during times of stress, but also serve
as a tangible expression of appreciation for those who selflessly care for loved ones.
By partnering with local organizations and statewide networks, the program ensures
that caregivers receive consistent, meaningful support. Whether it's during a period
of respite or a moment of unexpected need, each food box offers a small but powerful
reminder: caregivers are not alone, and their well-being matters.
All unpaid family caregivers across the lifespan of all ages are eligible for the
program.
