Program Summary

The EducationUSA Academy at Montana State University gives international high school students the chance to improve their English skills, learn about the American University system, and interact personally with the many cultures of the United States, all while enjoying the natural beauty and vibrant community of Bozeman, Montana.

Students will participate in:

    • An intensive daily English course
    • Workshops focused on the American university system, the application process, and building skills for success in higher education
    • Weekly team building and leadership sessions
    • Tours of multiple colleges and universities in Montana
    • Cross-cultural interactions and courses
    • Weekly excursions which include Yellowstone National Park and the Museum of the Rockies

        Deliverables:

    • Personal essay
    • Experience in STEM
    • Hands-on research experience 
    • Research poster presentation
    • Opportunity to practice English and learn American culture
    • Live in the dorms

Program Details

When: July 15th- July 30th, 2019* 

Where: Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana

Who: International students who are 15-17 years old

Cost: $4,200* per student, which includes instruction, materials, activities, housing, meals, health insurance, transportation to and from airport, and excursion transportation. Airfare to Bozeman and visa fees are not included.

Housing

Students will gain an in depth knowledge of student life while living in MSU residence halls throughout the program.  They will also enjoy meals in our award-winning Residence Dining Halls.

“Participant safety and security are top priorities of EducationUSA Academy. Host institutions are serious about the responsibility of keeping students safe and healthy. EducationUSA Academy is hosted by accredited colleges and universities with established protocols and policies in place related to the supervision of participants under the age of 18. All EducationUSA Academy host institutions will:

    • Adhere to local and national laws pertaining to programming for minors
    • Conduct required background checks on program staff responsible for working with minors
    • Provide health insurance coverage to participants for the duration of the summer program, and help participants obtain medical treatment as needed
    • Communicate to students campus/program policies, including basic safety information, curfews, codes of conduct, and emergency contact information
    • Meet students at the airport upon arrival in the United States and chaperone them to the host institution campus
    • Actively support and oversee participants throughout the program, including during classes, in residence halls, and on off-campus excursions”
