Anatomy of a Mass Spec Feature

Mass spectrometry based “omics” approaches enable detection of 1,000s of “features” from complex biological mixtures. The molecular mass, chromatographic retention time, and additional information (ion mobility, tandem MS) are used to define unique features. This will be an interactive lecuture to discuss “features” are found; and will cover peak picking (mass and chromatographic), retention time alignment, and an introduction to “targeted” versus “non-targeted” ‘omics analysis, and what that means for features and options for processing software (MS-Dial, Progenesis, Skyline, mzMine, etc).

Byker Auditorium, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Open to all, RSVP coming soon

August 14th
