Sharing Data With Collaborators
Steps for MSU Users Sharing Folder

Go to globus.org and login with your Net ID.

In the File manager tab, enter “monatana#blackmore” in collection search bar.

Navigate to the your Blackmore share containing the folder you wish to share.
You can bookmark folders and collections for quick access to them at a later date.

Once you are in your Blackmore shared folder, search and select the required folder that needs to be shared.

After reaching the desired folder click “SHARE” from the right panel.

In the newly opened Guest Collection page, hit “Add Guest collection” button from top right corner.

while creating a new Guest Collection, fill in all the details, Display Name, Description, and Keyword. Also make sure that “Force encryption on transfers to and from this collection” box is checked.

Then hit “Create Collection” button.

Now you have created your collection, and you will be directed to this newly created collection page, click “Add Permissions - Share with” button from top left corner.

Keep the path as it is.

Make sure to choose “user - share with specific individuals” from the selection list.

Search the other user (with whom you want to share the folder) by name or email id (use the email id with which they have account on Globus.

Choose read and or write permissions (as per your requirement)

Click ‘Add Permission’

Folder will be shared with the other user, along with an email notification.
Accessing Shared Folders
- Go toGlobus and login with your email.
- Navigate to Collections page from left panel.
- Click the “Shared With You” button.
- And the folders shared with you will be listed here.
Sharing With Additional Users
- Go to Globus and login with your email.
- Navigate to Collections page from left panel.
- Click the “Sharable By You” button.
- From the listing, choose the required collection, and click the ‘greater than’ sign (>) present at the right corner in the row of the collection name.
- Click “Add Permissions - Share With” button from top left corner. and follow the step 6 from the “Steps for MSU User Sharing the Folder”
