MSU Army ROTC Bobcat Battalion
Welcome to the Bobcat Battalion!
Army ROTC allows MSU students to become Army Officers while they earn a bachelor's or master’s degree. Students take 4-7 credits of ROTC classes each semester to become a full-time Active Duty officer or a part-time officer in the Army National Guard or Army Reserve. Students can major in any degree offered at MSU and minor in Military Studies. Not only does Army ROTC supply leadership experience and a job after graduation, it can also provides a monthly stipend, money for books, and cover full tuition and fees. Important Dates for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
- 14-16 August 2025 - ZERO DAYS
- 20 August - First Day of Fall Semester
- 26 August - Last Day to Self-Add a course
- 1 September - Labor Day; no classes, offices closed
- 10 September - Last Day to Drop w/o a "W" (via advisor)
- 10 September - Last Day to Confirm Tuition Bill
- 11 November - Veteran's Day; no classes, offices closed
- 12 November - Last Day to Drop a course, with a "W" (via advisor)
- 24-28 November - Fall Break; no classes, offices closed 27-28th
- 11 December - Semester Ends
- 11 December - Commissioning, Museum of the Rockies, 1:00pm
- 12 December - Commencement
- 13 January - First Day of Spring Semester
- 7 May - End of Semester
- 7 May - Awards Ceremony and Commissioning, TBD
- 8 May - Commencement
