The Students Raising Children (SRC) club is a student organization for people at MSU who have diverse and specific needs that are unique to being a student and raising a child at the same time. The goal of SRC is to foster a warm and welcoming community to serve the student parent population through academic, social, and emotional support systems for individual students and families.

Catapalooza

Catapalooza is a great opportunity to learn about a large variety of offices and clubs to get students involved! Look for the SRC table at Catapalooza to learn more about the club, club events, services, sign up for the newsletter, and get to know the members. 

OCSL Resource Fair

Off Campus Student Life Resource Fair 

Off Campus Student Life hosts an annual resource fair to provide MSU students with the knowledge and resources to successfuly live off of campus. Students can meet property managers, representatives of community resources, on-campus resources and campus partners that are there to support them however they can. 

Best Beginnings Scholarship

Best Beginnings Childcare Scholarship 

DPHHS works closely with childcare resource programs in the community and community contacts as well as liscenced providers. Those who are liscened can apply for the Better Beginnings Childcare Scholarship that provides support to families who qualify through income eligibility and recieve assistance for childcare. Parents' Night Off

Parents' Night Off

Aspiring Educators of MSU hosts events to give parents a night off! Kids can do arts and crafts, play games, and do other fun activites while being watched over by volunteers from the club. Children of all ages are welcome to attend. 

Rec Center Bowling Night

Rec Center Bowling Night 

Looking to go bowling? Meet up with the club at the SUB Rec Center for bowling with your family! Bowling will be paid for by the club. 

SRC Family Pool Party

Students Raising Children Family Pool Party 

SRC hosts pool parties for club memebrs to come and swim at the Student Wellenss Center! Swim toys, life jackets, and lifeguards will be provided. Please bring your own swim diaper if your child requires one. There is no need to have a membership to swim, just tell the memberships desk that you are there for the pool party. 

Dinner at Rendesvous

Dinner at Rendezvous 

Meet with other SRC members and get dinner at Resdesvous Dining Pavillion. Parents can get their dinner for $8, the club will cover dinner for the kids! Just let the cashier know and they will apply the discount. Eat your dinner with other SRC members in the Rendezvous conference room. 

Student Stir Cooking Class

Student Stir Cooking Class

Learn how to cook easy and nutritious meals at the student stir cooking classes held in the Herrick Hall kitchen! Students use produce grown in the MSU's student run Towne's Harvest Garden during the sessions run by students of the Montana Student Dietetics Association to practice their cooking skills. Children can decorate placemats for dinner while spending time with students studying childhood development here at MSU.

Coffee and Conversation

Student parents are welcome to come have conversations, share resources, study together, or just stop by for coffee in between classes. Other refreshments such as bagels and tea will be provided. 

Pop-up Library

Pop-up Library 

Come participate in a visit with the Bozeman Public Library's Pop-up library! You can decorate tote-bags, listen to a mini-story time, get free books, and more. To participate you must have an account with the Bozeman Public Library. It is free to create an account and get a library card; applicants must present a valid form of identification and proof of residency.
