Gallatin County 2025 Study Commission Surveys
The voters of Gallatin County initiated a 10-year review of the current government structure and operations of Gallatin County, Montana, under the Montana Constitution. As part of that review, the Gallatin County Local Government Study Commission contracted with Social Data to conduct and report on two surveys. The first was a survey of Gallatin County employees. Publicly available materials include the results of the employee survey and the corresponding employee survey report. The second was a survey of Gallatin County registered voters. Publicly available materials include the results of the voter survey and the corresponding voter survey report.
Treasure State 2020 Election Surveys
The Treasure State 2020 Election Surveys were the second set of election surveys put into the field by the HELPS Lab on behalf of researchers in the Department of Political Science at Montana State University Bozeman. The project involved a pre-election survey as well as a post-election survey of the same respondents. Materials hosted by OPEN ICPSR include: a discussion of the methods used in collecting and presenting the data; an overview of the frequencies and marginal percentage results in the weighted data; a codebook for the dataset; and the data in Microsoft Excel and STATA formats.
2020 Western States Coronavirus Survey
The 2020 Western States Coronavirus Survey was a collaborative project of Montana State University Bozeman and the Center on American Politics at the University of Denver. The questionnaire was administered online in April 2020 to residents of Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, and Utah. The questionnaire asked about public health, economic fallout, policies, and politics as they related to the unfolding coronavirus pandemic. Four-state results are available for public health and economics as well as for politics and policies.
