Wellness Center/Campus Recreation

UIT: Positions are full for now but they do collect resumes and applications to create a pool of candidate.This means you can apply at any time, even if there isn’t a current opening. When a position becomes available, they review the pool and reach out to applicants who may be a good fit. Click here to apply.

Bozeman has a strong local job market, especially for students looking for part-time, flexible work. Many off-campus employers prefer in-person applications or direct outreach, so don’t rely only on online postings. 

Popular Areas to Look 

Downtown Bozeman

Downtown is a hub for restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, and small businesses that frequently hire part-time staff. Walking in during non-busy hours with a resume can be very effective. 

Gallatin Valley Mall Area

The mall and surrounding shopping centers often hire for retail, food service, and customer support roles. Many businesses post openings in-store or on their company websites. 

Cannery District & Northeast Bozeman

This area includes restaurants, breweries, fitness studios, and local shops that regularly hire part-time employees. These employers often value reliability and availability over prior experience. 

19th Avenue & West Main Corridor

Larger retailers, grocery stores, gyms, and service-based businesses along these main roads frequently have part-time openings with varied schedules. 

Tips for Success 

• Visit businesses in person during slower hours (mid-morning or mid-afternoon). 

• Bring a short, clean resume—even if the job doesn’t require one. 

• Be ready to share your availability clearly. 

• Follow up if you don’t hear back within a week. 

• Check local job boards, business Instagram pages, businesses websites and storefront signs.
